How to install an electric ball valve to ensure its safety and stability
An electric ball valve is a type of valve used to control the medium in pipelines and can be remotely controlled. It is an important device in current industrial automation control systems. Including pneumatic ball valves and other valves, they cannot be used continuously during the process. After storage or use for a certain period of time, if you want to continue to ensure its effective operation and appropriately extend its service life, maintenance and care are necessary.
Installation and Maintenance of Electric Ball Valves:
1. Even when the electric ball valve is in the closed state, there is still pressurized fluid inside the valve body.
2. Before maintenance, relieve the pipeline pressure and keep the valve in the open position; disconnect the power or air supply; separate the actuator from the bracket.
3. Only when it is confirmed that the pressure in the upstream and downstream pipelines of the electric ball valve has been completely relieved can the disassembly and decomposition operation be carried out.
4. During disassembly and reassembly, be careful to prevent damage to the sealing surfaces of the parts, especially non-metallic parts. When removing O-rings, use special tools.
5. When assembling, the bolts on the flange must be tightened symmetrically, gradually, and evenly.
6. The cleaning agent should be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts, and working medium (such as gas) of the ball valve. When the working medium is gas, gasoline (GB484-89) can be used to clean the metal parts. Non-metallic parts can be cleaned with pure water or alcohol.
7. Disassembled individual parts can be cleaned by immersion. For metal parts with non-metallic parts still attached, use a clean, fine, and soaked cloth in the cleaning agent (to avoid fiber shedding and adhering to the parts) to wipe. During cleaning, all grease, dirt, accumulated glue, dust, etc. adhering to the wall surface must be removed.
8. Non-metallic parts should be removed from the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning and should not be left to soak for a long time.
9. After cleaning, the parts should be assembled after the cleaning agent on the wall surface has evaporated (use a cloth not soaked in the cleaning agent to wipe). Do not leave them for a long time, otherwise they will rust and be contaminated by dust.
10. New parts also need to be cleaned before assembly.
11. Use lubricating grease for lubrication. The lubricating grease should be compatible with the metal materials, rubber parts, plastic parts, and working medium of the ball valve. When the working medium is gas, for example, use T221 lubricating grease. Apply a thin layer of lubricating grease on the surface of the sealing groove of the sealing parts, a thin layer of lubricating grease on the rubber sealing parts, and a thin layer of lubricating grease on the sealing surface and friction surface of the valve stem.
12. During assembly, no metal debris, fibers, grease (except for the specified ones), dust, and other impurities or foreign objects should be allowed to contaminate, adhere to, or remain on the surface of the parts or enter the inner cavity.
