Newway’s DN300 PN16 CF8 Metal to Metal Seat Wafer Type Triple Offset Butterfly Valve is a high-performance industrial valve designed for precise flow control in demanding environments. It combines advanced triple offset design with robust metal sealing and wear-resistant construction, delivering reliable performance across diverse temperatures, pressures, and media—from water and gas to corrosive fluids.

II. Important Attribute and Specification Parameters

A. Structural Type

The valve features a triple offset design, with the disc axis offset in three planes relative to the seat, minimizing friction. Its wafer type structure enables compact installation between pipeline flanges, saving space. The metal-to-metal seal between disc and seat ensures tight closure even under extreme conditions.

B. Size and Pressure Rating

With a DN of 300, it handles large-volume flow, suitable for medium to large pipelines. Pressure ratings span PN6 to PN420 (Class150 to Class3000), adapting to low (water supply) to high (oil and gas) pressure systems. It accommodates media temperatures from -40°C to over 600°C, fitting diverse thermal conditions.

C. Material Composition

Body and Disc: Made of CF8 (austenitic stainless steel) for corrosion resistance against water, gas, and mild chemicals. Optional materials include duplex stainless steels (2205, 2507) for enhanced wear resistance and 1.4469/1.4529 for highly corrosive media.

Seat and Stem: The metal seat (alloy steel with hardfacing) ensures high-temperature/pressure sealing; the stem is 2Cr13 or stainless steel, offering strength and anti-blowout protection.

D. Connection and Operation

Wafer ends conform to API 609 and ASME B16.10, enabling quick flange installation. Operation modes include manual (lever, gear), pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic, with actuators compatible with ISO 5211 for easy automation integration.

III. Features Description

A. Triple Offset Design

This geometry eliminates disc-seat rubbing during operation, reducing wear. When closed, precise alignment creates a tight metal-to-metal seal, achieving zero leakage even under high pressure differentials—vital for chemical processing or gas pipelines.

B. Metal-to-Metal Sealing

Unlike soft-seated valves, the metal seat withstands extreme heat (600°C+) and cold (-40°C), maintaining integrity in thermal cycling. Its wear-resistant coating resists abrasion from particulates, ensuring reliability in mining or wastewater treatment.

C. Compact Structure

The wafer design reduces weight and installation space versus flanged valves. Quarter-turn operation (0°-90°) enables fast opening/closing, ideal for emergency shutdown lines in power plants.

D. Safety Features

Integrated anti-blowout stem prevents ejection under high pressure. It meets API 607 fire-safe standards and includes anti-static components, complying with safety regulations in hazardous areas like refineries.

IV. Manufacturing Process

A. Material Inspection

Raw materials undergo spectral analysis for chemical composition and mechanical tests (tensile, impact). Wear-resistant variants get surface hardening (e.g., chromium plating).

B. Precision Machining

CNC centers shape body and disc with ±0.02mm tolerances for accurate triple offset geometry. The disc’s sealing surface is polished to Ra 0.8μm; the stem is precision turned and coated.

C. Assembly and Testing

Components are assembled in a clean environment. The seat is fitted with preload for balanced sealing and torque. Post-assembly, valves undergo shell pressure tests (1.5× rated) and seat leakage tests (1.1× rated). Actuators are calibrated for smooth operation.
