III. Features Description

3-PC Structure: The valve body is divided into three detachable sections (two caps + middle body), allowing in-line maintenance of internal components (ball, seat, stem) without removing the valve from the pipeline. This reduces downtime in critical systems like drinking water supply, where shutdowns disrupt service.

Full-Port Design: The ball’s bore diameter matches the pipeline size, minimizing pressure drop and energy loss. This is especially beneficial for drinking water and food processing, where unobstructed flow prevents stagnation and bacterial growth.

Sanitary Compatibility: 304/316 stainless steel surfaces are smooth (Ra ≤0.8μm) and non-porous, avoiding media retention and simplifying cleaning—meeting hygiene standards for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

Anti-Blowout Stem: A one-piece stem with a retention shoulder prevents ejection under high pressure (PN64), enhanced by PTFE packing that maintains sealing integrity without media leakage. This design meets safety requirements for pressurized systems.

IV. Manufacturing Processes

Investment Casting: Body, cap, and ball are produced via investment casting, ensuring precise dimensions and smooth surfaces (Ra ≤1.6μm). This process eliminates porosity, a common source of leakage in cast components.

Thread Machining: Internal threads are precision-cut using CNC lathes to achieve Class A tolerance, ensuring tight engagement with pipeline threads and avoiding leakage. Threads undergo gauging to verify compliance with NPT/BSPT standards.

Surface Finishing: Stainless steel components are passivated (electrochemical treatment) to form a protective oxide layer, enhancing corrosion resistance. The ball and seat surfaces are lapped to Ra ≤0.8μm for smooth operation and tight sealing.

Assembly & Testing:

Hydrostatic Test: Body tested at 1.5×rated pressure (9.6MPa for PN64) for 30 minutes; seat tested at 1.1×rated pressure (7.04MPa) with water to confirm no leakage.

Pneumatic Actuation Test: Actuators are tested with 6bar air supply for 1,000+ cycles to ensure smooth operation and consistent response time.
