I. Product Overview

As a critical shut-off device in industrial pipeline systems, the Newway ANSI Class 150 manual stainless steel flanged gate valve is constructed from 304/316 stainless steel or WCB cast steel. Featuring a rising stem structure, the valve enables precise on-off control for pipelines. With a diameter range of 1/2″ to 12″ (DN15-DN300) and ANSI Class 150 pressure rating (up to 1.6MPa), it stably manages the flow of water, gases, and oil products within -20°C to 180°C. The flanged connection complies with ASME B16.5, while the design adheres to API 600 and ASME B16.34, making it ideal for petrochemical, water supply, and HVAC applications.

Performance Advantages of Stainless Steel and Cast Steel

304/316 Stainless Steel: The 18% chromium and 8% nickel alloy in 304 offers excellent corrosion resistance in humid environments and weak acid-base media. 316 stainless steel, with added molybdenum, withstands seawater and chemical media with chloride content ≤200ppm.

WCB Cast Steel: Complying with ASTM A216, WCB steel (normalized and tempered) achieves tensile strength ≥485MPa, suitable for high-temperature steam and hot oil systems (up to 425°C).

Rising Stem and Elastic Seal Design

Visual Operation via Rising Stem: The stem moves vertically with opening/closing, linearly corresponding to handwheel rotations to prevent misoperation. Paired with a copper alloy stem nut (QT400) and graphite packing, it reduces operating torque by 30%, with force ≤150N·m (DN100).

Elastic Seat Sealing: The valve seat uses EPDM/NBR rubber or PTFE, forming a “soft seal + hard seal” dual structure with the metal gate, meeting API 598 bubble-tight standards (leakage ≤0.01×DN mm³/s).

Full Operational Condition Adaptability

Temperature Resistance: Stainless steel maintains yield strength ≥150MPa at -10°C and ensures thermal deformation ≤0.1mm/100mm at 180°C.

Medium Compatibility: Besides water and air, it tolerates light oils and neutral salt solutions, with optional food-grade seals (FDA-certified) for drinking water applications.
